All: My wife is coordinating a special event that I think would be a great opportunity for Fiat owners in the Northern California Sacramento region, to get together and meet in honor of two great causes.
The event is held in Lincoln, California, which is about 20-30 minutes from Downtown Sacramento. The event is being held to support two causes: Valentines for the Troops and Locks of Love. There's free food, live D.J., bounce house for the kids, crafts tables, and other activities. There's a huge parking lot where all of us could meet up and show off our cars regardless of condition!
The event is held Saturday, February 12th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. I think it would be great to get together even if only for an hour or two. The weather forecast looks great!
If you can attend, please let me know by posting here. I think it would be a great way to support a great cause while finally meeting up with other Fiat owners in the area.

I think my wife and I can make this. This sounds like a great event. It will give me an opportunity to finish breaking in the engine rebuild. Any more details? Thanks.

Re: Fiat Event??? Northern CA
That'll make three of us so far! It'd be great if we could get even more!!! I'd love to meet all the other Fiat lovers out there whether you have a daily driver or restored beauty.
Here's the gist of it and the location:
Event title: Valentines for the Troops and Locks of Love
Event date: Saturday, February 12th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Location: 741 Sterling Parkway #200, Lincoln, CA, in front of Liberty Tax Service in the parking lot
People can make Valentine greetings and be entered into free prize drawings (all small stuff). Locks of Love will be supported by a local hair salon. Anyone donating hair of more than 10 inches will get a free haircut.
Free food (at this point it is hotdogs, popcorn, etc., but it may change)
Live DJ
Bounce House for the Kids
Craft tables (Home Depot said they'd be there doing something with the kids along with others)
I'll be there the entire time to help out if needed. I'll be easy to find - Silver 1979 Fiat Spider - I think I'm the only Fiat in all of Lincoln. If I get confirmation of who will attend, I can probably manage to rope off an area for us to park.
Sterling Parkway is just off of Highway 65 in Lincoln. Take I80 east from Sacramento to Highway 65. Take Hwy 65 north to Lincoln, exit at Sterling Parkway. At the first traffic light (approx 1/8 mile), turn right into the parking lot. Take the first left and you're there. They're planning on having sign wavers and balloons marking the event.
For those who want a more substantial meal, there are a variety of restaurants within walking distance (Subway, Red Robin, Thai restaurant, Mexican restaurant, Japanese restaurant, KFC, Jamba Juice, etc., within about 1/2 mile are even more restaurants. We can chat if that's a necessity. A Raley's grocer is located across the street.

I already did put it on Mirafiori - no response yet from any of their members. Most live 1.5 hours from here and the drive is less than remarkable.

Crap!
Just got a call for a job Saturday AM in Stockton.
If all goes well I could make it maybe for the last hour.

If you can make it the last hour, that would still be great. I'm there for the long haul helping my wife if needed, or just hanging out seeing who manages to show up. If anyone is up to a ride up Hwy 193, we'll do that around 3 p.m.-ish, so arriving late wouldn't be a big issue for those who decide to hang out. There are some pretty awesome places to drive with the top down since they're predicting 65 degrees on Saturday!!!!

I just got another call. Once I'm done with the prop balance in Stockton, I no have to go work at RC Country Hobbys in Sacramento. That will keep me busy till 5PM.
So, I won't be able to make this little get together.
Lets see about doing a burger run sometime soon. Or would it be more fitting to do a spaghetti or pizza run?

Too bad...would love to have had you there. I'll dream up something when we can get a few consistent warm days in a row. I always wondered what it would be like to run the Spider up to Coloma. It's a beautiful area and perfect for a BBQ!!! If not, Hot Auburn Nights is another option where we could all meet.
