hallo,
is there an easy way to refit de anti-rol bar with new bushes ?
I agree you don't have to be a brain-surgeon to do that ; but still some questions .
- refitting with wheels on the ground ?
-after torquing everything in the front suspension and alignment ? or isn't that neccesary to do first?
- first the outher and then the inner brackets?
- how to compress the new bushings
-how to attach to the body without damaging the (imo vulnerable ) 'bolts' .
thanks in advance,
groeten, Geert. Damme, Belgium.

Re: front anti-rol bar refitting
I would remove the entire anti-sway bar with brackets and work on it off the car. The outside bushings are easy as the bracket is 2 piece with the rubber sandwiched between. With the inner brackets, I would press the bushing into the bracket and then try to thread it on the bar. The removal and install should not effect any other part of the suspension.

I've used "C" clamps to hold the brackets in place around the bushings.

I always do the inner, then the outer. I find big C clamps useful in pulling everything together on the outers to get the nuts started onto the studs. It may be wise to go ahead and drill the old studs out and install some grade 8 bolts if you think the studs are weak. It's not fun to have them start breaking while driving.

Re: front anti-rol bar refitting
thanks everybody for the reactions.
finally ended my front suspension rebuild.
Next time I'll make more notes before taking everything apart.
My problem with the front anti-rol bar was reversing the left/right brackets and the bar upside-down
Once fitted everything looks very logical.

original bar , with a little paint.
idem dito for the 4 springs, minus 1 coil. Still have to try out the ride ; but the lower control arm is +- level, so that seems to be ok.
Shocks are yellow Konis I bought 2 years ago.
